Exton Campus
The Learning Resource Center provides peer tutors and professional volunteers each semester to help you succeed in your courses. Tutoring occurs in the Learning Resource Center or in approved campus locations. It is available for current DCCC students at the Exton Learning Resource Center by scheduling an appointment.

| PEER TUTORS are selected based on grades and faculty recommendations. Most peer tutors have achieved high grades in all of their courses and have excellent academic skills. In addition to assisting with course material, they can offer tips for efficient and effective use of study time. |
| Interested in Becoming a Peer Tutor? |
Using the Tutoring Service:
- Please call the Learning Center at (610) 450-6511 to schedule an appointment.
- To be eligible for tutoring, you must attend the class for which you need tutoring.
- When you meet with a tutor, please come prepared with your notes, assignments, textbook and syllabus, if needed. Before the tutoring session, try to identify what you need to learn in course content or study skills.
- Doing your assignments regularly, seeking help from your instructor, and then bringing problems to a tutor will help get the most out of your tutoring experience.
Please note: There will not be any tutoring during Faculty Development Days, Spring Break and Final Exam Weeks.
Other Tutoring Information
- The ACT 101 Office, at the Marple Campus in Room 1175, provides students in certain programs with professional tutors by appointment. Tutors for math, English and several other subjects are also available Monday through Thursday evenings until 9:00 on a walk-in basis for any DCCC student needing help. Call (610) 359-5009 for more information.
- The DCCC Writing Center at the Marple Campus is available to help with your writing assignments.

If you are looking for an opportunity to keep your skills current and earn some
money while being a student at DCCC, this is it.
How can I become a Peer Tutor?
Follow the steps below:
- Check prerequisites first. You must be enrolled in at least 6 credits and have a G.P.A. of 3.0 and an “A” in the subject you plan to tutor.
- Complete an application online.
- When approved by the recommending faculty, you will be contacted, preferably by email, to meet with the tutor coordinator to discuss tentative hours for tutoring.
- Meet with the tutor coordinator for orientation and training before you begin tutoring.
Why should I consider the opportunity to become a tutor?
There are numerous personal benefits, including:

Volunteer Tutoring Opportunities
The College has several highly qualified professional tutors who volunteer
their services. Our volunteers are adjunct faculty here at DCCC. Some of our
volunteers are participants in the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
Volunteers can help from 2 to 10 hours a week or more. We are always looking
for qualified volunteers.
