Counselor - Full-Time - Tenure-Track - Marple Campus

This is a full-time, tenure-track Generalist counseling position, starting with the Fall 2010 semester, and requires a full range of counseling skills including personal, crisis, career, and academic counseling for students from different backgrounds, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, race, religion, or disability; experience or familiarity with personal development, individual counseling issues and life/career goal setting preferred; experience working with developmental studies programs and students desired. Duties include: develop, coordinate, and deliver programs for developmental students in collaboration with appropriate faculty; collaborate with the Student Success Area, Director of First Year Experiences, the Developmental Studies Alliance, and the Achieving the Dream Committees; provide short-term personal counseling to students as appropriate; provide crisis counseling and crisis management when necessary; provide career counseling to students; provide information, answer questions, and assist students in the resolution of academic or College issues and concerns; assist with the development of processes for academic advisement and provide academic advisement and counseling; assist with new student College Planning sessions; provide transfer counseling to students; assist faculty and staff in handling student problems, academic concerns, educational issues and behavioral concerns; work with the Director of the Career and Counseling Center to develop a work schedule including one evening per week; perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the Career and Counseling Center.

Assistant Professor, Computer Information Science - Full-Time, Tenure-Track

Delaware County Community College (DCCC), a Middle States Association accredited College, and an institution committed to diversity, seeks a qualified Full-Time, Tenure-Track, Computer Information Science Instructor to start in Fall, 2010. The Computer Information Science instructor will perform a variety of routine duties, as needed, to teach computer programming to students from different backgrounds, ethnicities, nationalities, gender, ages, religions, or disabilities in the classroom and in the lab, using a variety of teaching methods such as lectures and demonstrations and using audiovisual and technological aids to supplement the presentations. The applicant must have high-end, hands-on computer expertise in programming, such as C++ and C#, JAVA, Microsoft Visual Studio, database design and development, and be conversant with other emerging technologies. Applicant should have experience in Simulation and Game Programming. Experience in Game Maker, 3Ds Max, and Deep UV plug-in for 3Ds Max is desirable.
