Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
Delaware County Community College's family leave policy follows Federal law in the application of FMLA leave. Employees requesting a leave of absence due to their own serious illness, to care for an immediate family member, or to provide child care to a newborn or newly adopted child, should contact Human Resources (610-359-5302) as soon as the need for such a leave is known.
FMLA leave is not a paid leave, although leaves involving approved illnesses and disability may coincide with the use of sick time.
