Faculty Technology Services
Faculty Technology Services encourages and supports the use of appropriate pedagogy and educational technology to enhance teaching and learning. Our resources, services, and programs facilitate responsible use of technology and foster faculty interaction and professional development. In collaboration with the Center to Promote Excellence in Teaching and Learning, the Professional Development Committee, and other DCCC units, we provide support necessary to advance the effective use of technology throughout the College community.
Some of the specific services provided include:
- technical support to faculty in offices and the Faculty Resource Room
- year-round group and individualized technical skill-building training
- assisting faculty to develop and maintain a web presence to support their teaching
- identification of new technologies to support instruction
- maintaining a collection of online resources related to teaching with technology
- assisting faculty in course design to improve learning
- preparing faculty to teach online or hybrid courses
- group professional development activities
- individual teaching consultations
