Ms. Aimbaye channels Fannie Lou Hamer and takes the audience on a riveting journey of storytelling integrated with power songs and a video montage of Hamer’s activism, which led to the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. With the power of a warrior when she speaks and the voice of an angel when she sings, audiences become transfixed in the civil rights struggle, experiencing the emotional highs, lows, twists and turns of the courageous spirit and determination of Mrs. Hamer.
