Adjunct instructor Robert Rodini, a software engineer, will deliver a talk on "Phone Application Development."
Synopsis:
Smartphones are pervasive. There are countless applications (apps) for these phones. Hear from Professor Rodini about how he turned a common mathematical game for middle school students into a smartphone app. He'll explain the languages and tools that he used to create "Twentyfour Challenge", which is available on iTunes and Google Play. The app helps users sharpen their mental math skills by having them choose one of two pairs of numbers and then multiply, divide, add and subtract to get to 24.
