Welcome to Virtual AnatomyVirtual Anatomy consists of five virtual programs: These programs were designed and developed at Delaware County Community College by Doris Benfer and Barbara Janson Cohen, members of the Biology Faculty, and College Web Services. Virtual Bones, Virtual Cat, and Virtual Microscope include photographs taken of physical specimens, models, and slides used in Human Anatomy labs at DCCC. A student may view structures in an unlabeled or labeled format. The only structures labeled are ones that the student is required to learn. Also included are self-quizzes that assist the student in studying. Virtual Bones, Virtual Cat, and Virtual Microscope are intended for student pre-lab preparation, instruction in-lab preparation, and student review for lab practicals. Virtual Practical I and Virtual Practical II are interactive tutorials, with immediate feedback, which assist the student in studying for actual in-lab practicals. Each Virtual Practical consists of numerous quizzes that allow the student to self-test. In addition, these virtuals give the student an opportunity to experience the general format of an actual practical. |
