If you are a current student thinking of attending a four-year college, we can help you plan your transfer. We can provide you with information regarding admissions requirements for other schools, application deadlines, schools that offer your major, and courses that will transfer to particular schools.

How can I meet with a transfer counselor?
Stop by the Learner Services area in Exton or Downingtown and complete a Transfer Appointment form. You will need to give us some preliminary information before your appointment so your counselor can identify your needs ahead of time.Do you offer workshops where I can learn more about transferring?
Yes we do, each semester Learner Services offers free workshops to give you basic information on transferring to area four-year schools. In addition, representatives from schools such as West Chester University, Immaculata University, Kutztown University, and Temple University visit Exton and Downingtown at specific times throughout the semester to answer questions and provide you with materials. Contact Learner Services early in the semester to find out about upcoming workshops and college visits.What four-year colleges will accept my DCCC credit courses?
We have built relationships with over forty colleges and universities that accept credits for applicable courses. Our College Transfer Agreements lists all of the schools that have an agreement with DCCC.

How can I meet with a career counselor?
Stop by the Learner Services area in Exton or Downingtown to complete a Career Counseling Interest form. After reviewing your information, a career counselor will contact you to schedule your first appointment.Do you offer career workshops?
We offer several workshops throughout the school year, including, "How to Choose a Career That's Right For You" and "How Personality Relates to Career Choice." Contact Learner Services for a current schedule of career workshops.How do I know which career is right for me?
There are several different types of assessment and exploration tools to help you determine which career paths best suit your personality. Your career counselor will work with you to determine which tools will be most helpful to you. Some of these tools include the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Sigi Plus, CxBridges, COPS, and Discover.
There are times when you may experience some personal issues that can disrupt your education and if this occurs, our counselors are a resource you can turn to. Issues such as stress, anxiety, feelings of being intensely overwhelmed or frustrated can also effect your relationships and self-esteem. Counselors are available by appointment or for walk-in's to help you to manage these issues throughout the school year. Counselors can also provide you with referrals to professionals outside of the college for testing for learning disabilities, health care and mental health services.

How can I meet with a personal counselor?
You can ask to see a counselor by contacting Learner Services. When making your appointment, you do not need to disclose any sensitive information. If you need immediate assistance due to a personal crisis, simply ask the Learner Services staff if you can see a counselor right away and you will be accommodated as quickly as possible.Do you offer personal counseling workshops?
We offer several workshops in the fall and spring semesters related to personal topics. Contact Learner Services for a current schedule. We also provide a variety of online workshops.Additional academic advising and counseling information is available through the Student Services section of our website.
