Each student or community resident that I meet has a story and is coming to DCCC to find a path. It is my pleasure and privilege as a counselor to guide, affirm, and assist along the way. Let me know if I can be of assistance to you.

Robert Rex Johnson B.A. Alderson-Broaddus College |
Specialty: Teaching, Group work, International Students
Each time I step into a classroom to teach, or a student walks into my office with an issue, I see it as another opportunity to make a difference in someone's life. These occasions are finite in number, and when I reach life's last stage of ego integrity, I want to be able to look back and say that I genuinely cared for those human beings who ventured forth into my classroom or counseling office. I, personally, benefited from the example of educational professionals in my own life and feel it is my privilege to provide the same for those students who encounter me.

I believe that no matter what age you are, college is a time for discovering yourself and all that life has to offer. The choices you make and the experiences you gain shape who you are. I enjoy helping students discover their purpose for being here. DCCC is an excellent place to begin this journey.

Ralph Marano A.A.S. Delaware County Community College |
As a proud graduate of DCCC and a mid-life career changer, I enjoy working with students of all ages to help them meet their personal, educational and career goals. It has been said that 10% of our life experience is determined by the things that happen to us, and the other 90% is the result of how we react to those things. College counselors have the training and skills to help students make better choices about a wide variety of life issues. Please let me know if I can help you.

My favorite quote is, "Education is your passport to the
future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today." I like
to see myself as the water in the student's Garden of Life. The seed has often
been planted but water is a necessity. I love to see students succeed to become
productive citizens in the world. I want to help students grow. I want students
to enter my office and leave feeling better about school, life, their career
or whatever brought them into my office.
