First Steps Career Information Sessions

Is This Service For Me?

This service is intended for community residents, as well as, DCCC students who wish to learn more about the Career Center and its services. Typical participants in First Steps Career Information Sessions would include:

  1. Returning homemakers.
  2. People considering a job or career change.
  3. Individuals who want to take an interest inventory.
  4. People who use this as an alternative to a more in-depth fee-based services, such as, individual career counseling.
  5. Those who want to explore the variety of resources in the Career Center.
  6. People who want to take a first step toward finding an appropriate career direction.

How Do I Register?

Just phone the Career Center at (610) 359-5324, and ask to be registered for a First Steps Career Information Session. The secretary on duty will have a list of available dates from which to choose. The week before the session, you will receive a confirmation sheet and complete directions to the College and to the Career Center.

When Is This Service Offered?

First Steps Career Information Sessions are offered two evenings a month during each semester. You will select your date when you register by phone. Each session runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

What Is The Fee For This Service?

This is a free service.
