How We Can Serve You
Career Counseling
A Career Counselor can guide you step by step through career decision making
to help you clarify your goals. Whether you need help choosing a major or you
are changing careers, counselors can explain DCCC procedures, regulations, and services. When you
find yourself with a questions and don't know where to turn, be informed and
ask a counselor.
Academic Counseling and Advisement
Counselors can address your academic concerns and answer any questions you
may have about the DCCC Catalog, course requirements, course substitutions,
and study skills.
Personal and Informational Counseling
When outside responsibilities conflict with academic progress, it often helps
to talk about these issues with a counselor. For long-term counseling needs,
our counselors have access to an extensive referral network.
Transfer Counseling
Many students attend DCCC as the first step in a plan to reach their educational
goals. If your long-term goals include transferring to a four-year institution
to earn a bachelor's degree, make an appointment with a DCCC transfer counselor.
Transfer counselors can guide you in selection of a transfer school and assist
you in appropriate course selection to ensure a smooth transfer.
