About Campus Life
The College supports a varied program of student activities that provide opportunities for social interaction and the development of interests and leadership skills outside the classroom. The student activities program includes clubs and organizations, student theatre, co-curricular and cultural programs, special programs for off-campus students, recreational activities and intramural sports, and intercollegiate athletic teams and sport clubs. The Campus Life Office coordinates many of these activities and encourages student participation in programs and organizations.
Students benefit substantially from being involved in campus organizations.
Involvement in organizations helps students develop skills employers are seeking:
decision making, leadership, cooperation, and communication. Being involved
in programs, organizations, and activities helps foster intellectual, social,
cultural, and recreational development of students and fosters a sense of community
among students, faculty, and staff. Students are able to enhance their learning
and personal development by getting involved in educationally purposeful extracurricular
activities.
