DCCC Bookstore Buyback Policy
- DCCC Bookstore pays cash for books from any individual (student/non-student) during designated buyback times (usually at the beginning & end of each term).
- All books (textbooks, non-textbooks, new & used) are eligible for a fair evaluation.
- Prices are determined by DCCC Bookstore need and the current market value. Prices vary according to time of transaction and condition of merchandise.
- Books designated for resale in the following semester may receive up to a 50% return on the current list price of the book. All others will be evaluated according to national market prices usually bearing a 10-30% return on the list price.
- Books should be returned with all media included, in passable (dry, clean) condition. Compromised condition and missing components will affect price.
- All purchases are final. No receipt will be issued for a buyback transaction at anytime. If a receipt is needed, the seller is required to provide it to the buyer for validation.
- Any valid picture ID is required at Main Campus Buyback. DCCC student ID’s may be requested through the DCCC Library.
- No rain-checks. Along with guarantees, prices are based on quotas and no continuances or extensions will be issued.
- All buyback transactions are cash only. No credit will be issued.
- Book thieves will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
- DCCC Bookstore employees reserve the right to refuse service to any seller conducting business in a hostile, or aggravated manner.
