PLACEMENT TESTS

All students coming into DCCC are placement tested in English Composition, Reading and Mathematics. The tests last approximately 2-1/2 hours. Your test results will indicate the current level of your skills in English, mathematics and reading. This will help you and your counselor plan your academic schedule. You may need to take remedial courses to improve your skills before taking some college-level courses.

SLEP TESTS FOR ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

Some students indicate the need for instruction in English as a Second Language. These students are directed to take specific SLEP (Secondary Level English Proficiency) tests to accurately assess and determine appropriate course placement.
