The Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is a major component of the Alumni Program and vital to DCCC. Gifts to the Annual Fund are used exclusively to provide direct support to students, to support faculty development, and to enhance programs and facilities. In addition to scholarships, alumni have generously supported other special projects such as DCCC's Library, New Building and Chester County Campaigns, while Phi Theta Kappa alumni successfully raised over $5,000 to double the Honor Society's newly endowed scholarship fund to $10,000.

2006 Recipient of DCCC Alumni Professional Achievement Award
When I enrolled at DCCC, I was working as a carpenter earning just enough money to support my young family. After a previous unsuccessful attempt at another college, my initial plan was to take a few night classes to help me advance on the job. Thanks to some special DCCC faculty members, I enjoyed being back in school after a six-year hiatus. Without their guidance, I never would have completed my degree in construction technology.
Thanks to the solid foundation of my DCCC education, I find myself accomplishing extraordinary things. That is why it's important for me to contribute to the Annual Fund Campaign.

When I enrolled at DCCC over 30 years ago, I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. I was a young student, newly minted from high school, and the first generation in my family to attend college. Some very special DCCC faculty members sparked my interest in science at a time when the field was dominated by men. I credit DCCC with inspiring me to learn, break down barriers and set me on a path to success.
Today, thanks to DCCC, I find myself doing extraordinary things. I bring my passion for teaching to the classroom as I lecture young physicians in cancer cell biology.
Each DCCC student, no matter how different, speaks to the power of what can be accomplished in our families, our communities and our world. Alumni contributions ensure that each student will have the chance to do something extraordinary! That's why I support to the Annual Fund

Like many alumni, I learned essential life lessons at DCCC. By setting goals, working diligently and challenging myself to achieve my dreams, I experienced a personal fulfillment that I never thought possible.
My DCCC experience became a family affair! My father and brother followed my lead and earned degrees from DCCC. My mother and sister also attended DCCC. When my father retired, my brother and I became partners, running the family business in an industry marked by quick technological and structural shifts. Thanks to DCCC, we are well equipped to tackle these challenges.
At DCCC, I learned the importance of "giving back" while participating in student government. Today, I still find time to give time and resources to DCCC. After all, it played a vital role in my success. That is why I support the Annual Fund. I invite you to do the same. Your generosity will ensure students will be better suited to achieve their goals and enhance their skills in an ever-changing world.

I have been able to "give back" to DCCC in appreciation for the opportunities it afforded me. My associate degree in liberal arts paved the way for a full academic scholarship to Rosemont College, and from there, I began a successful career in the financial services industry. And it was the community college experience that contributed to my ability to value diversity and to foster an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork that is so important in my workplace today.
