General Educational Development (GED)
General Educational Development (GED) GED community, institutional and workplace-based programs, provide ninth through twelfth grade level instruction to adult students who have not graduated from high school. The community-based programs are located throughout Chester County and provide instruction in those areas tested by the GED Testing Service. The institutional program provides similar classes to adults living at Gaudenzia House, and to adults incarcerated at the Chester County Prison and the Chester County Work Release Center.

GED-Preparation Classes
These classes will help to prepare you for the GED test. You will work with the instructor to determine an educational plan that best suits your needs. The curriculum will cover math, social studies, science, language arts reading, and language arts writing. Students will be pre- and post-tested to determine their readiness for the official GED test. Student will be given a comprehensive GED textbook after being pre-tested.
Enrollment is open-entry.

GED Testing
The GED test is generally administered once a month on a Monday and Tuesday evening. For dates and location call 484-237-5161. You must pre-register and pre-pay for the test. Qualified test applicants must be a PA resident, and be 18 years old. Cost: Test fee is $75 for the battery of 5 tests.

English As A Second Language
This course will assist students with English language acquisition. Each student will be tested to determine their English proficiency level. Instruction is customized to serve the needs of each individual student. Students will learn common English phrases, vocabulary, using money, and dates and times.
