Mission Statement
The Adult Basic Education and GED Program serve a diverse population of learners, both on campus and in the community. Our mission is to teach basic skills and assist learners to develop life- and job-readiness skills in order to move into jobs, training programs and higher education.
Description
This non-credit program is designed to improve basic skills; reading comprehension, writing and math are emphasized. Students without a high school diploma may prepare for the GED examination. High school graduates may attend classes to improve job skills or prepare for college entrance exams.
Eligibility
Classes are open to anyone 18 or over who desires to improve basic reading, writing and math skills at the pre-college level. Students must register for classes by calling:
484-237-5107 (Delaware County residents) or 484-237-5121 (Chester County residents)
Orientation
Students may register for any orientation location. At orientation, students will:
- Review program components
- Review program expectations
- Complete intake form
- Complete the TABE assessment test
- Complete a goal plan to be reviewed with instructor
- Receive schedule
