Student Information on Dosage and Calculations Program Online 2005/2006

What is this Program ?

The Nursing and Allied health Department has recently acquired an online version of the Meds Publication, Dosage and Calculations Made Easy. Up till now the department has had this program installed in the Learning Center at Main Campus. Since we have an online version, we have removed this program from the Learning Center. There are many advantages for having this program online.

  • 500 seat availability to meet the needs of all our Nursing and Allied Students on all our Campuses
  • Ability to access at home and use anytime.
  • Eight separate programs to access with both a tutorial and exam portion in each program.
  • Print out capabilities and individual test scores.
  • Individual class access under a specific theory instructor.
  • Ability to display to your instructor your test scores on a private and secure website.
  • Great interactive portions in each section to teach specific math concepts.
  • New Critical Care Section with specific calculation concepts used in critical care.

How Do I Get Started?

  • Go to the website www.medspub.com Click on the e learning center icon to the top left of the screen.
  • You will now be in the E-Learning Center. Go to the top right of the screen to register.
  • On the registration page, fill in all the information and make your “user name” your first name initial and your complete last name (ex. K Troppman) Pick a password that will be easy to remember!!
  • Once you have registered, you have now occupied a seat in the program. You do not need to register again. The more you register, the more seats you will occupy. Once you are finished with the program permanently, delete your name as this frees up a seat for another person.
  • When you log in from now on you will enter a password given to you by your instructor (it will be a combination of numbers and words). Every instructor has their own individual password and you will be listed under their classroom. This enables your instructor to look at your scores on any individual exam or tutorial you may do.
  • Under your instructor’s name will be a listing of what programs are available to you. Please note you will need to have Flashplayer 7 installed on your computer. It can be installed for free and will come up on the screen for instillation prior to starting the program. Once installed you are free to run the programs.

If you have any problems, please feel free to contact Karen Troppman with your questions at 610- 359-5195.
