Am I too old for college?
No. Many adults feel they've been out of school too long but soon find people their own age on campus. Over 40% of DCCC students are adult students. Our Admissions staff is eager to meet with you to answer any questions you might have.
Will I feel comfortable in a classroom with much younger students?
In many classes the educational process is enhanced by a healthy exchange of ideas between students of all ages. You will be surprised at how well you fit into the College community. Adult students find they have a lot to contribute to class discussion due to their real life experiences.
Can I take only one or two courses at a time?
You can move through your program at your own pace. The College offers flexibilty in the courses it offers and the times that they are held. We understand that you will be balancing work , family and school so it is fine to take just one course at a time.
Does the college offer daycare?
DCCC does not have a daycare center but there are several excellent centers near all our locations.
