Administrative Systems
The College operates SunGard SCT's Banner suite of administrative applications. This suite includes Student, Financial Aid, Finance, Human Resources and Alumni/Development components. These capabilities operate on the College's Unix servers under the Oracle relational database management system.
The goal of the Administrative Computing is to provide accurate, reliable and readily available business data to support the efficient operation of DCCC's administrative offices. Access to these applications is strictly controlled through various security mechanisms to ensure that data is made available only to the college staff having a valid business need. Students, faculty and staff who are properly authorized can access subsets of data through the Web-based Student Self Service, Faculty Self Service and Employee Self Service.
