Administrative Computing
The Administrative Computing Center operates the hardware, software and network infrastructure that support the administrative operations of the College. Computer-based administrative processes used by the College staff cover many facets of recordkeeping including:
- student records
- student financial aid
- accounting and financial management
- human resources
- alumni & college development.
Administrative Computing further serves the staff of the College by:
- installing and administering a number of general-purpose applications such as electronic mail, electronic calendaring, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation graphics
- acquiring, deploying and coordinating maintenance of the College's administrative workstation assets (microcomputers, printers and peripherals)
- operating and maintaining the College's wide-area data communications network
- maintaining the College's telephone network.
The Center is staffed by thirteen full-time employees and is managed by SunGard SCT Inc. of Malvern, Pennsylvania. While the administrative applications are generally available "twenty-four by seven, " the Computing Center is staffed from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM daily. However, employee requests for Help Desk services are accepted by voicemail and electronic mail at any time.
