Delaware County Community College will host a conference on ACADEMIC FREEDOM and presentations will focus on one of the four themes:
- Academic Freedom for Faculty
- Academic Freedom for Students
- Academic Freedom for Institutions (institutional autonomy)
- Academic Freedom and its (differing) shape in public and private higher education institutions
The conference will begin on April 11 at 1PM, includes a dinner with a keynote speaker on Friday night, and concludes with a full day of sessions on April 12 (Saturday, ending at 4:30 PM). There will be a major address at lunch as well on April 12.
Registration materials, conference schedule, and lodging information will be available at the end of November 2007. Tentatively, registration fees will be $50 for students, $100 for faculty and $125 for all others interested in attending. The conference will occur on the campus of Delaware County Community College.
