Media Line Road Closure Begins November 19

The College has been notified by AQUA Pennsylvania that Media Line Road will be closed from Wednesday, November 19, 2014 through Friday, January 30, 2015 for daytime operations but a detour will allow public transportation and motorists to get around the construction work. The road will be closed from West Chester Pike (Route 3) to Newtown Street Road (Route 252) from approximately 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. During this water main replacement project, traffic will be detoured over West Chester Pike and Newtown Street Road.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these areas. The schedules are dependent on weather.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zones. Media Line Road from Newtown Street Road (Route 252) to past the College’s Media Line Road entrance will remain open for the duration of the project. This link from Newtown Township’s website provides a letter from AQUA. A map of the detour can be found on page 2 of the PDF.

The Marple Campus is the main campus of Delaware County Community College and is located off Media Line Road in Marple Township.
