Delaware County Community College draws faculty from a variety of backgrounds to provide students with teaching of the highest caliber. Our more than 830 full-time and part-time faculty members are eager to share their knowledge and practical experience with our students. Each of the College’s faculty members holds a master’s degree or higher, and 12 have recently received Lindback Awards for Distinguished Teaching.

The College’s faculty are committed to serving the needs of a diverse group of students, and they approach teaching through student-centered instructional philosophies. Faculty use the latest technologies in their courses, maintain regular communication with students and disseminate ideas that lead to thought-provoking classroom discussions and assignments.

Thanks to some special Delaware County Community College faculty members, I enjoyed being back in school after a six-year hiatus. Without their guidance, I never would have completed my degree in construction technology.”

~ James D, Alumnus

Many faculty members have published research and other papers, but the College emphasizes the importance of teaching. That is why, when you step into a classroom at Delaware County Community College, you will always find a qualified professor teaching every class.

The College is proud of our faculty-to-student ratio that averages just 20 students per faculty member. We also keep our class sizes small (typical class size is 20-30 students) so that students can make strong connections with their professors.

The teachers bring a real-world experience to the classroom and apply their experience to relate to book material.”

~ Andrew W, Student
