Description

The length of time that you will be here for testing will depend on whether or not you are taking one test or two and will also depend on the amount of time allotted for each test. The stop time listed is based on taking the two longest tests. The tests range from one hour and five minutes to two hours in length.

The GED RETEST is given twice a month on the Marple Campus of DCCC in the Academic Building, Room 2178. The start times are either 10 AM or 4:30 PM. Check-in begins one half hour prior to the testing time. Registration for the retest can be done over the phone by calling the Assessment Center at (610) 359-5322. Payment is due on the day of the test and is $25.00 (payable in any format) per test with a maximum of two tests on any given retest date. Full capacity is 25 students per testing session so it is in your best interest to call and register sooner rather than later. Only PA residents are eligible to take the GED retest in PA. Your official photo ID (current PA State photo ID, current PA driver’s license or current passport) must be presented on the day of the test for entry. You will not be able to test without a photo ID; no exceptions. You may test up to three times within a calendar year on each subject. If you score lower when you retest the higher score remains and the lower one will be disregarded. A minimum of 410 is required in each subject AND a total overall score of 2250 is needed in order to pass the GED test so you want to aim for an average of 450 in each subject.  Feel free to contact the Assessment Center at (610) 359-5322 if you have any questions.
