Description

Cutting-edge neuroscience confirms that practicing mindfulness strengthens areas of the brain associated with critical thinking while decreasing activity on the areas of the brain associated with anxiety, depression, ADD, and other common mental illnesses.  College students who practiced mindfulness felt less stressed and more creative in their thinking which can lead to healthy social and emotional behavior in and out of the classroom. Come to this workshop for an introduction to some basic mindfulness techniques and a discussion about offering mindfulness practice to students and faculty in the future.

Presenter: Francesco Bellini, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, CAH
