Description

PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE!

There is no such thing as a “one-size-fits all” model for leadership. This has become a reality in our increasingly diverse culture where we have observed many different types of leaders demonstrate their success. Research suggests women possess a unique leadership style that enables them to influence change in a very different way than traditional models. Attitudes about leadership are changing and now is the time to discover and embrace your leadership qualities.

Have you ever evaluated your own leadership qualities? Have you ever reflected on how you impact others around you?

In this workshop, we will collaborate to:

  • Identify key characteristics of successful women leaders.
  • Identify and evaluate your leadership style.
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses with regards to interpersonal communications.
  • Create a plan for developing your leadership style and applying it to reach your leadership goals.

Looking to develop your leadership skills? Interested in increasing your marketability to future employers?

The College's Leadership Development Program is your answer.

Students who complete seven workshops during the 2011-2012 academic year will receive a leadership certificate from the Campus Life Office, RM 2518. In addition students will be invited to the Student Activities Awards Banquet in April.

For a complete list of qualifying workshops log in to delaGATE and go to Student Services, Navigating Leadership.
