The ideal candidate must have a High School Diploma, preferable in business or secretarial curricula; Associates Degree preferred; minimum of three years relevant work experience; strong word processing skills; ability to work effectively with internal and external constituencies; capable of attention to detail and management of multiple tasks; ability to use good judgment and operate independently.Description
Delaware County Community College invites applications for a part-time Development Specialist in our Institutional Advancement Office.
This position collaborates with full-time Development Specialist in supporting activities of the Advancement Office and the Foundation. Among those activities are events planning and management; acknowledgement letters for gifts and other correspondence; maintaining donor files; preparing check request and purchasing requisitions; as well as other general office functions. As time permits, assist Advancement and Public Relations staffs with routine office procedures.
Primary responsibilities will include but not limited to supporting the stewardship process (correspondence, database, donor files); support activities of the Foundation (correspondence, meetings); event planning (invitations, meetings, photographer, phone calls); creating databases for events and reports; arranging meetings and appointments; preparing check request, purchase requisitions – tracking of same; scanning newspaper for media coverage and clipping same; Supervise student workers for various projects.
