RequirementsThe ideal candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree preferred but not required; Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with keen attention to detail; Ability to work well under pressure and independently, and handle multiple tasks; General computer experience with emphasis on Microsoft Office; Knowledge of SCT BANNER highly desirable; Commitment to the community college mission.
Delaware County Community College invites applications for a part-time Administrative Assistant in our Southeast Center campus.
This position provides reception and clerical support to the Director and Instructional and Student Services (and the non-credit division) at the College’s Southeast Campus. Work collaboratively with all members of the administrative, faculty and support staff team. Provide quality customer service reflecting the culture and mission of DCCC and Branch Campus Operations. This position also requires a professional demeanor and a willingness to address the needs of the ‘customer’ quickly and accurately.
Primary responsibilities include but not limited to Provide timely and accurate responses and information to students and visitors; Maintain confidentiality of all communications and activities as necessary and appropriate; Handle all incoming calls and greet visitors; Maintain appointment calendars (SARS books) for counselors/advisors and Student Support staff; Provide information regarding admissions, registration, and advising, and perform registration tasks for those students who do not need to meet with an advisor; Assist students with accessing information on the College’s website; Print open section reports on a regular basis; Access BANNER and other databases to enter student applications, perform add/drop functions, print CAPPS for advisors and counselors and retrieve any other information to assist staff and students; Assist Student Services during peak times, and as needed, including College Planning, Placement Testing, and Open House events; Maintain announcements board in main office; Maintain office supplies storage for faculty and paper supplies for office printers; Maintain the staff schedules; Maintain Faculty Resource Room ensuring that mailboxes are kept up-to-date and that notices are timely; Maintain Human Resources bulletin boards in corridor by the cafeteria; Provide hospitality support to the Director for campus events for faculty and students, to include purchasing refreshments, maintaining a refreshment table and assisting with clean-up; Complete purchase requests and Office Depot orders; Create enrollment reports as requested by the Vice Provost or Director; Participate in Professional Development activities when necessary; Perform other duties as assigned.
